Hop on Hop off Wine Tours Canterbury and Waipara

Hurunui

A flexible, self-paced way to explore the Waipara Valley wine region north of Christchurch. With a “full-day” ticket visitors can hop off at a number of wineries, cafés, and breweries, then catch the next bus when they’re ready to move on.

The tour runs between Christchurch and the Waipara / North Canterbury region, stopping at over 20 local spots, including wineries, breweries, historic cafés, and scenic viewpoints. Some of the featured vineyards include well-known and boutique producers such as Pegasus Bay, Waipara Springs, Black Estate, Terrace Edge, Torlesse, Georges Road, Mountford Estate, and Greystone.

At the cellar doors, you can do wine tastings (fees may apply), and some stops offer food.

It’s recommended to pre-book tastings and lunch at the wineries to ensure availability.
