Gore Bay and Buxton Camping Grounds

Gore Bay offers a safe swimming and surf beach, several walks and the stunning Cathedral Cliffs.  A short 7 minute drive away is Cheviot and State Highway 1.

Please consult bookings-board on arrival to locate your site/s. Bookings-boards are located at the entrance to the Gore Bay Camp, the Hillside portion of Gore Bay camp and in the kitchen kiosk at the Buxton Camp. 

Fees per night: 

$40 Powered Site up to 2 people

$35 Non-powered site up to 2 people

$10 extra Adult

$ 5  Children 5-15

Under-fives: No charge

Check-out time is 10.30am (please observe this time if the site is booked on your day of departure or during long weekends and the month of January).

The caretaker will visit the site each evening at approximately 5pm to collect fees (we now have Eftpos) and answer any queries you may have.

After hours payments can be made on an honesty system with the envelopes provided in the Kitchen area.  Please fill in appropriate details and pop under the Office Door at the Main Camp or in the Honesty Box at the Buxton Camp.  Thank-you
