- 1. Event Submissions
Event organisers may submit their events to Visit Hurunui for consideration via our online form. Submitting an event does not guarantee that it will be listed on the website.
- 2. Editorial Discretion
Visit Hurunui reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to accept, edit, decline, or remove any event listing at any time and for any reason. We aim to promote events that have a positive impact on the Hurunui District and align with our community values.
- 3. Event Clashes and Scheduling
To ensure the success of events across the district and to maintain a balanced regional calendar, Visit Hurunui does not support scheduling of events of a similar style, theme, or target audience on the same day or within close proximity to one another.
If such a clash occurs, Visit Hurunui reserves the right to decline, limit, or withhold the promotion of one or more events at its discretion.
Organisers are encouraged to consult with Visit Hurunui in advance to avoid conflicts and ensure the best possible exposure for their event. - 4. Event Content and Responsibility
By submitting an event, organisers confirm that all information and promotional materials (including images and text) are accurate, lawful, and that they have the right to use them.
Visit Hurunui is not responsible for verifying event details and does not endorse or guarantee the quality, safety, or conduct of any event or organiser. - 5. Liability
Visit Hurunui takes no responsibility for any loss, injury, damage, or other issues arising from attendance at or participation in any listed event. All events are attended at participants’ own risk.
- 6. Updates and Changes
Event organisers are responsible for advising Visit Hurunui of any changes, cancellations, or updates to their listings.
- 7. Appropriate Content
Events must reflect positively on the Hurunui region and community. Visit Hurunui may decline listings that could reasonably be considered offensive, discriminatory, unlawful, or inconsistent with the spirit of the region’s image and values.
