Mt Lyford Ski Area offers a perfect family-friendly ski experience. With beautiful scenery and exciting activities, your winter getaway will be unforgettable and fulfilling. Enjoy everything from skiing to snow tubing.

Mt Lyford is a family owned and operated ski area considered a hidden mountain paradise in North Canterbury and the most coastal ski area in New Zealand.

We have a brilliant terrain mix accessible from our 6 lifts. The beginners' area is super wide with a gentle pitch and snow tubing luge. There are ample intermediate trails with lots of wideopen spaces and fun bowly terrain thats very family friendly in the sun. For the advanced the Lower & Upper Terako rope tows offer amazing terrain taking you to the top of the mountain and amazing views of the Pacific Ocean.

Front Face is a must. Parking is slope side & you can a picnic while you watch the team in the snow a real kiwi experience. Lessons, ski hire and cafe are also available.
