Mt Isobel from Clarence Valley Rd

Key Information

Estimated Time - 6 hrs return

This is the most popular route to the summit of Mt Isobel. Begin at the Clarence Valley Road car park, 2km from the Jacks Pass Road turn off. The track climbs through a recently felled area, before entering subalpine scrub. Climb onto an open ridge and continue to the summit of Mt Isobel for panoramic views of Hanmer basin and beyond.

Only recommended for fit experienced trampers. This is sub-alpine terrain and tracks may be closed in winter due to snow.
