One of the highlights of the MainPower Alpine Winter Festival, The Matariki Disco Party on Ice is a lively highlight of the where the ice rink transforms into a glowing celebration of music, lights, and movement under the stars.

Skaters of all ages take to the ice as upbeat tunes fill the air, with colourful lighting creating a vibrant, party-like atmosphere right in the heart of winter.

Blending the spirit of Matariki with fun and energy, it’s a chance to celebrate the Māori New Year in a uniquely playful way—spinning, gliding, and laughing with friends and whānau while the night sky watches over the festivities.
