Alpine Winter Festival 2026

Hanmer Springs

We’re back for another year of winter wonderland fun in Hanmer Springs. Join us at one of the largest winter festivals in New Zealand as we put on a 2 week long programme of events for all the family.

The festival transforms the village into a winter wonderland with lots of events and activities spread across 15 days. Highlights include an ice-skating rink in the village centre, spectacular light displays, husky racing, star gazing, alpine markets, and winter-themed challenges.
