The Cheviot Classic Bike Event is a community-oriented cycling ride held in Cheviot. A scenic ride in the countryside, welcoming riders of various skill levels to experience the rural terrain and lands
A non-competitive bike ride through rural roads and countryside settings.
This is a bike event suitable for families and individual riders looking for a relaxed riding experience, covering about 50 Km of seal and gravel roads. The event starts at Cheviot Hills Reserve with morning tea, and briefing including local history.
Route starting from Cheviot Hills Reserve to Gore Bay, along Cathedral Road to Hurunui Mouth Rd, and then to Domett.
The route then changes to gravel along the Old Main Rd to the Cheviot Golf Club for a buffet lunch using fresh local produce. After lunch the route continues through the Cheviot countryside back to the start.
There are options for you to shorten the afternoon route. Event suitable for e bikes.
Tickets $60 Adult or $120 Family, available on Eventfinda until 24 February. Late entry fee $10.
