Amuri A & P Show

Held annually on the first Saturday in March, the Amuri A&P Show brings together the best of rural life and community. There is plenty to see and take part in, including: • Horses and Ponies • Sheep, Wool and Shearing • On-farm Beef and Dairy Cattle • Steer Riding • Produce Shed – featuring cooking, handcrafts, art, produce, flowers and more • Dogs • Terrier Racing • Pie Eating Competition • Family Look-a-Like Competition • Food Stalls • Trade and Machinery Displays • Demonstrations and Presentations • Family Entertainment and Rides To round out the day, a community BBQ from 5–7pm. All are welcome!

Running alongside the show weekend is the North Canterbury Axemen’s Club Woodchopping Event, a three-day timber sports programme from Friday to Sunday. This year’s event includes a New Zealand vs Australia test series and a full schedule of championship-level woodchopping events. You won’t want to miss it!

Preschoolers free.
