Activity Hanmer

Whether you are a corporate group wanting an awesome team building event, a sports team on a development weekend or a school or group wanting a professional, safe and challenging package of stimulating outdoor activities, we can deliver a program to suit you.

We host four Corporate or Group events:

The Hanmer Springs Challenge-Mission Impossible, the ultimate team building event, the Forest Challenge, Archery and the Rocket Race.

Mission Impossible is a race against the clock. It involves a series of outdoor problem solving activities both physical and cerebral. They are non-threatening, non-macho and great fun. Get your team working together and have a great time!

The Forest Challenge - or Lost without Trace! This is a score orienteering event, small teams set out into the beautiful Heritage Forest to collect as many points as possible in a set time. There is no set route and teams have to come up with their own cunning plan and strategy. Set your own pace, fast and furious or slow and steady.

Archery - Our Archery sessions offer the chance for every person to experience success. Accuracy, control and a steady hand are vital for achieving the best results and many discover a talent for a new skill. Handling bows and arrows may be a brand new experience for your group and presents a variety of new challenges! We encourage safety awareness from the outset and teach the basic skills at our outdoor range.

Rocket Race - Race around Hanmer Springs in our crazy Quadracycle bikes. Compete as a teams 2-6 using your map reading and direction skills to visit the most markers and collect the most points. Read the questions very carefully! This activity is great for exploring the beautiful Hanmer Village area and is a lot of laughs too!

Activities for school camps include rock and tree climbing, mountain biking, orienteering, mission impossible, archery and bush skills and leadership training. We can work along side you to help you plan an awesome program for your camp. We have great team of staff all totally committed to the outdoors and passionate about giving your group a memorable time in Hanmer.

Activity Hanmer holds Outdoors Mark, a safety audit certificate awarded by Outdoors New Zealand.

We also now offer the Amazing Race for both school and Corporate groups.

Teams will race around the Forest camp performing physical and mental challenges in order to gain their next clue. First team across the finish line having successfully completed all the challenges – Win!
