The Hurunui Village vineyard was first planted in 1998 and had its first vintage in 2000. The four varieties of grapes are Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, and Pinot Noir. Bottled at Torlesse Wines and sold only from the cellar door it will remain a small boutique winery. The bottles are cellared in the Wine Cave, built 22 metres into the hill. It maintains a temperature close to 12 degrees.
Summer Cellar Door
Tasting of the four wines is $5.00 or complimentary on purchase of wines. Food is available.
The Hurunui Pub
Built in the style of the early Stables, the Hurunui Pub is the new watering hole for everyone that needs some refreshment on their journey. Right next to the old pub, the service, craft beer and wine is still second to none. Great views and plenty of parking, we are open 7 days from 10am to close.
